Reclaimed Tiles Installation

One of the biggest challenges we are facing is change the mindset of the people. Terracotta is looked down upon as a material for the poor, rural areas and cheap.

With the use of advanced computational design tools and innovation, we are challenging this stereotypical mindset. In this project we used the roof tiles reclaimed from the same project to create a parametric sculpture. These tiles would have ended up in a landfill otherwise.

Though this not a performing Beehive, we are using this as an example to display how a simple material could be both cost effective and beautiful to capture the imagination of urban dwellers.
